Nietzsche

Co-written by Kimerer LaMothe and Geoffrey Gee, Nietzsche tells the story of the infamous philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, and the two women he loved: fellow philosopher Lou Salomé and sister Elizabeth Nietzsche, each of whom fought in her own way to define Friedrich's legacy after he became mentally ill. Kyra directed a world premiere staged reading of this musical in August 2021, and also performed the role of Cosima Wagner (wife of the famous Richard Wagner).

Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition

In the summer of 2022, Kyra directed a youth production of The Wizard of Oz, working with 7th-9th-graders. The production was the culmination of a month-long summer theater program at the Fort Salem Theater in Salem, NY.

Wakaresaseya

Written by Parker Redcross (Yale '21), Wakaresaseya (Waka, for short) is an episodic, virtual musical starring Alaina Anderson (Yale '21, National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen) in the role of April Hopewell, an aspiring comedian. With themes of friendship, family, love, and following one's dreams, Waka tells the story of April and her close friend Chrissy as April sets out to pay the hospital bills for her parents after her father suffers a sudden seizure. Episode 1 (about 27 minutes in length) has been released so far.

As part of the post-production process, Parker and Kyra interviewed the members of the cast and crew about the process of creating a virtual musical. The interviews (2 total), along with Episode 1 and a short trailer, can be found on the Waka YouTube channel ("Wakaresaseya Musical").
